Pulling straight from Bane vocalist Aaron Bedard’s lyrics, the hardcore diehards came into the sessions for their 2001 sophomore album sounding “tired and angry.” At society, naturally, but maybe also due to the grind of touring in a cramped-ass van. This made for Give Blood Bane’s thorniest, though most expertly hammered-down release yet, but don’t get it twisted: There was still plenty of fight in these melodic bruisers. As Bedard also put it: “I'll keep getting in the van.”
