This is the Oil Baffle plate that sits up against the engine cradle, and above the oil pan. There are two different styles used. Most all other 2.5 liter turbo engines use the STI style baffle plate.
If you are building a new engine, or rebuilding an old one, make sure that your baffle plate is installed.
