Lecithin is an excellent skin moisturizer and restorative. It contains many different phospholipids. Lecithin is a nonionic emulsifier (occurs in most living cells) consisting of 4 phospholipids (phosphatidyl choline, ethanolamin, serin, inositol), lecithin can be used to bind water and oil. Able to penetrate the epidermis (top layer) of skin and transports substances to the right level (this is reported but not substantiated). Made from soya fat, it binds water and fat together.
