The ACT Heavy Duty Street Sprung Clutch Kit with Flywheel is designed specifically for Subaru WRX models from 2006 to 2024, as well as other compatible Subaru vehicles. Please note that this kit is not compatible with the Subaru STI model. If you have an STI, check out the ACT Heavy Duty Street Clutch Kit and Streetlite Flywheel for the correct fit.
This conversion kit replaces the original 230mm clutch and requires the use of the included ACT Flywheel. It is important to note that Subaru began incorporating 240mm clutch components into production in mid-2018, which are not compatible with ACT clutch kits and flywheels.
The SB11-HDSS kit features a solid, sprung clutch disc paired with the Heavy Duty pressure plate, providing a smooth driving experience once broken in. The pressure plate utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design for increased clamp load and reduced deflection, while the Performance Street disc features high copper content for better heat transfer and durability.
This kit includes a Performance Street Sprung Disc, XACT Streetlite Flywheel, Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, Release Bearing, and Alignment Tool, ensuring a comprehensive installation process. The clutch pedal may feel slightly heavier, but is manageable for daily driving with smooth engagement and mild clutch chatter.
ACT rates this clutch kit to handle up to 449 ft.lbs to the CRANK, equivalent to approximately 380-400 ft.lbs to the tire. It is recommended for stock WRX, Full Bolt On (FBO), or mildly upgraded vehicles. The longevity of the clutch depends on torque levels and driving habits, as it is a wear item.
