ALL of the mattes shades in this palette is pressed pigments and has traces of red dyes which is not intended for the immediate eye area. 

We are a 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free brand. This means that we are unable to use Carmine, which is a red agent that gives shades like all the fun berries, pinks, mauves, etc. Therefore, we actually substitute by using Red 7, Red 33, and Red 27 to get our unique berries, reds, and pinks. These shades are FDA approved for all cosmetics except for immediate waterline (eye) area.
