I actually got the design inspiration from a Japanese hood scoop overlay. Working with overseas suppliers I have stumbled upon a lot of interesting products. There are pictures above of a similar product mixed in with the first image of the 2014 hood scoop. This listing is for the 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 WRX and STI. It is similar to our 2015+ version.
A little vinyl in the right places can really make your vehicle stick out compared to any stock vehicle!
Please note the design of this overlay. It runs parallel to the front of the hood scoop. It maintains even spacing and the reason for this will be clear during installation. For one, it is easier to install that way and two, it ultimately will look better this way.
This material is durable and will last for years. I source the vinyl for these products from US suppliers. They are often made in the US or Europe. Material standards are high. For the 3D Carbon material, do not apply wax. Just clean with normal soap and water.

When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. Also made in the USA.
