This round slate cheese board is a perfect serving option for cheese and hors d'oeuvres. It has a natural edge that gives it a distinct appearance. You can use chalk or soapstone to write on it, making it easier to identify your favorite cheeses and other items directly on the board.
It is made of all-natural slate, sourced from an Upstate NY Quarry, and is environmentally friendly. The board has EVA feet on the bottom to prevent scratching surfaces and is impervious to fungus and mold. However, it should not be put in the oven or microwave as it may crack under heat.
You can wash it with liquid detergent and cloth but do NOT use a brush or steel wool on slate. As slate is a natural stone, every piece has a slightly different pattern and color. It is food safe and non-toxic.
We offer the option of mineral oil application to the slate, which changes its appearance. If you want to apply it, select the "Slate & Oil Application" option when purchasing. Please note that it will take an additional 24 hours to air dry before shipping.
