The Matala BioSteps II Gravity Discharge Filters are the perfect solution for water garden ponds up to 2000 gallons and koi ponds up to 1000 gallons. This filter comes equipped with 6 Matala filter pads for "Progressive Filtration", including 2 Green, 2 Blue, and 2 Gray Matala Pads.

With a flow rate of 800 to 900 gallons per hour and a gravity return to the pond, this filter offers amazing filter capacity and improved settling of solids within the filter chamber. The new "Swivel Inlet Fitting" comes with barb sizes ranging from 3/4" to 1.5", while the outlet fitting allows for a 1.5" or 2" pipe connection or connection to an optional Waterfall Spillway.

The tank is made from automotive-grade plastic, making it capable of withstanding cold and hot environments. With outer tank dimensions of 20"L x 15" W x 23" tall, this filter also includes a bottom drain fitting for backwashing dirty water, with a drain plug included. Additionally, it is capable of connecting to an optional drain valve (not provided).

For those looking to upgrade in the future, the Matala BioSteps II Pond Filter allows for the optional addition of a 16 watt EZClear UV Clarifier and/or optional Waterfall Spillway.
