Hubei 3 Lotus (Bare Root) is a popular vegetable tuber from China, organically grown without any prohibited chemicals. When you receive it, don't be surprised by its size - it will be shipped as a starter with one or two growth tips. Plant it in a large pot or an earth-bottom pond for best results, and harvest in late fall or winter.
This beautiful lotus features creamy white flowers with pink accents, reaching a height of 48 inches or taller. The semi-double flowers have 21-50 petals, making for a stunning display. To accommodate its growth, we recommend planting in a 5' diameter plastic kiddie pool, or a larger pot.
For proper care, Hubei 3 Lotus will need additional fertilizer throughout the summer, but be sure to stop fertilizing around mid-August to promote optimal tuber production. Follow specific instructions for fertilizing based on the type of fertilizer you choose, whether conventional or slow-release.
