This gem is a bold statement for the water garden, with 6 foot deep purple petioles (stalks) leading to the giant 3' long green leaves that show a slight hazy purple to them. 1' tall yellow flowers have a wonderful papaya-like fragrance. Although it sends out wild- looking runners, it is a slow plant to spread. Sun to part shade, up to 48" tall, Zone 9
