HR397 Wax & Grease Remover

If you are looking for an aggressive wax & grease remove then HR-397 is for you. It is a high quality cleaner that was made to be used before sanding to remove any wax, grease, oil or any other contamination. As many in the refinish industry have found out the hard way, any small amount of contamination can ruin the end result in a paint job. The solvents are strong enough that they will remove fresh paint and primer so this should only be used as a pre-cleaner on cured paint.

Our HR 300 series cleaners are some of the best on the market. Our high strength HR397 solvent is an excellent choice for the initial cleaning of cured paint surfaces before sanding and for cleaning bare metal. We also have a waterborne version in the HR397 water which is great for cleaning plastics. For final wiping duties we have HR398 which will remove and sweat or other contaminants before applying basecoats and is even safe on fresh basecoats to remove tape tracking.
